Iman Perez • Wonderland China November 2023

China is back! Well, this much is true for Chanel, which in 2022 recorded double digit growth in the People’s Republic for the first time since the pandemic lockdown in the country. The November 2023 issue of Wonderland China very much rides this wave with a pair of covers featuring Chanel face Iman Perez. Photographed by Reto Schmid, the covers and corresponding story draw from Virginie Viard’s latest resort collection, which was first shown in Los Angeles back in May of this year. Iman of course walked in that show and now bounds off the page for this exercise. Watch this space for this year’s earnings, but on the evidence provided by Iman, the forecast for Chanel couldn’t look better.
