Lydia Reid • Manifesto October 2023

Red proved a dominant color for the Fall 2023 collections shown on runways in February of this year and so too in print eight months later. The latest issue of Manifesto celebrates the color at the long wavelength end of the visible spectrum next to orange and opposite violet with a fashion story starring Lydia Reid. Photographed in London in September by Daniel Benson, the 14-page editorial titled “In the name or red” does exactly what it says on the tin and then some. Lydia, whose hair is also red, is very much up for this monochromatic exercise. Wearing a cotton-blend grosgrain-trimmed taffeta blouse and wool twill midi skirt, both Patou, Lydia (pictured), elbow raised, hand on hip, strikes an inviting pose. The ensuing pages evidence a dominant performance through and through and a reminder that Lydia is very much on trend.
