In Venice Beach’s original design Abbot Kinney envisioned creating renaissance city from the ground up, replete with canals and cultural attractions to sustain it. Much of the canals were paved over by 1929, but the spectacle and attendant myth persist to this day. Look no further than the November 2023 issue of Vogue Arabia, which stages this feature starring Iman Perez in Venice Beach. Photographed by Silja Magg and styled by Tracy Taylor, the 12-page editorial surveys some of the more finely-tailored seasonal offerings. Standing against a rosy backdrop, hands on hips, Iman (pictured) wears a Miu Miu ensemble straight off the Fall 2023 runway. The elegance is undeniable, the very sort Iman brings effortlessly to the page and possibly the enlightened community Abbot Kinney had in mind when he dreamt up Venice.
