As far as late 1990s video games go, few have reached the heights Final Fantasy VII has. The role-playing title developed for PlayStation in 1997 has inspired a remake and countless spinoffs, but now adds to its legacy a cover story for a French magazine. Enter Enya Davis, cover star of the latest Revue Magazine by photographer Thomas Rousset and editor-in-chief Jack Borkett. Photographed in Paris in Late September, this sprawling editorial reimagines the seminal video game in ways unthinkable nearly 30 years ago. The iconic Buster Sword figures throughout the story, but it is the heightened fantasy of seeing it in relation to otherworldly Enya that distinguishes this series. Nothing epitomizes ultime fantaisie quite like Enya (pictured) wearing an orange long pleated tulle mermaid ruffle skirt and holding in her right hand the pleated tulle ruffle bustier top, the very ensemble Florence Pugh wore to the BAFTA Awards designed by Harry Reed for Nina Ricci. In this state of undress, Enya alone might further extend the life FF7.
