Although The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou wasn’t much of a commercial success, Wes Anderson’s 2004 feature film endures as inspiration for all things maritime. The latest issue of WSJ. Magazine dusts off this nearly 20 year old title and deploys it as a point of departure for its market report featuring none other than Lindsey Lenoard. Photographed by Emily Rosser and styled by Alexander Fisher, this 7-page series surveys seasonal staples with a scuba-inspired refresh replete with touches of neoprene and neon. Notwithstanding there being nary a red cap in any of these looks, the stylish allure is undeniable. Case in point, Lindsey (pictured) opens the series standing before a tobacco-colored panel wearing Celine by Hedi Slimane jacket and tank top, Sacai shorts, Silvia Furmanovich earrings, Falke socks and Cecilie Bahnsen shoes. No antenna-festooned headgear is required for this exercise, Lindsey’s on song.
