Whenever Alex Rzyan gets lost in her piano and synthesizers, she comes back to us with a dark and lusciously dreamy sound that evokes a widescreen 80’s- influenced soundtrack. Throw in some futuristic drum machines topped by her moody vocals and we might feel as though we’ve fallen into an episode of Twin Peaks.

Alex spent the lockdown wallowing in her vinyl collection (citing Depeche Mode, Blondie, Bakar & The Weeknd amongst her influences) and collecting aesthetic inspiration from The Sex Pistols, Keith Richards and fashion icons such as Rick Owens and Vivienne Westwood. She started writing over zoom in the lockdown and since then, released four singles in 2021 with main collaborator Tony Esterly and executive producer Mr Hudson.

Alex’s first music interview & shoot was was for Hunger magazine, thanks to Rankin and was shot by Max Montgomery. Alex played her first live shows with School Night, WFNM, Breaking Sound & Sofar Sounds. 2022 has brought two new singles, ‘Hot Headed’ and ’Smoke and Mirrors’ and led to Alex to her first major support with the band Capital Cities.
