The concept of boredom emerges not long after the Industrial Revolution. Listlessness borne of surplus labor can produce many things, but an Italian Vogue fashion editorial starring Lili Sumner has to be up there. Appearing in the January 2024 issue, the story by photographer Jules Moskovtchenko and stylist Hamish Wirgman takes boredom as its unlikely inspiration, a sort of font of creativity. Opening the story, Lili (pictured) wears a natural viscose jersey dress and heels in dégradé printed lizard by Ferragamo, ski suit in 4-layer rainproof twill fabric from K-Way, and a Marco Gerbella yellow gold ring with round pavé diamonds on her second finger. Decadent, inspiring, Lili gives life where there might otherwise be apathy.
