Dolly & Bo Exters • V144 Fall 2023

Freedom and self expression are the sorts of values that rank high at fashion labels of a certain description that court a younger, socially mobile demographic. Commerce after all is predicated on the empowerment of particular consumers, which is why Dolly and Bo Exters appear in the latest issue of V Magazine for a Zadig & Voltaire feature. Since its founding in 1997 by Thierry Gillier, the house has sought to realize this freedom through an effortless juxtaposition of “contrasting pieces and iconic materials.” No surprise, then, that leather and lace are the central elements to this exercise for V144 by photographer Maxime Frogé and stylist Yumna Mirza. Dolly wears a black, cropped biker-style long sleeve and wide-leg blue denim with contrasting panels, Bo a short leather wrap skirt, black and white tank tops, and clutches the Moonrock bag (both pictured). Zadig through and through, in other words, and yet made thoroughly editorial by Dolly and Bo.
